Bharat TexT 2025 Showcases India’s Textile Capabilities in One of the Largest Global Trade Events
India’s textile industry, a powerhouse in the global market, is not only vast but also rapidly expanding. With over 45 million people directly employed and another 55 million indirectly involved across the value chain, it is the country’s second-largest employment generator, after agriculture. The sector plays a crucial role in empowering rural communities and uplifting women, making it a significant contributor to India’s socioeconomic fabric.
Bharat TexT 2025, India’s largest textile event, will provide a global stage for showcasing the country’s extensive capabilities in the textile sector. Taking place from February 12–17 in New Delhi, the event spans 2.2 million square feet of exhibition space. With over 5,000 exhibitors and 20,000 exhibits, it is set to attract 6,000 international buyers and 12,000 domestic visitors from 110 countries.
The event will feature 70 knowledge sessions led by partners such as KPMG, Gherzi, and the National Institute of Fashion Technology. These sessions will focus on key topics like sustainability, trade, investment, and technological advancements. Bharat Tex is supported by major industry players, including Aditya Birla, Reliance Industries, Trident Group, Damodar and Welspun, emphasizing the strong industry collaboration. Other key participants include Mafatlal Industries Ltd, EM Crafts, and Supreme Nonwoven Industries Private Limited, representing a wide spectrum of the textile industry.
Global organizations, including UNEP, UNDP, UNESCO, and UNIDO, along with the Indian government’s Niti Aayog, are associate partners for the event, ensuring a platform for global dialogue and policy development in the textile industry.
