At Bharat Tex 2025 in Delhi, Earthloom – Threads of Heritage paid homage to India’s rich textile traditions, blending historical weaves with contemporary designs. This remarkable showcase was a highlight of the event, seamlessly merging sustainability, artisan craftsmanship, and modern fashion.
“Each weave at Earthloom reflects India’s artistic heritage and sustainability. We aim to connect artisans to global markets and ensure a thriving future for the textile sector,” said Rennie Joyy, founder of Aalekh Foundation, emphasizing the importance of preserving India’s textile legacy.
The event featured an array of performances and fashion presentations, including a special act by South Korean singer Aoora and Sreeju Premarajan. Designers Rosy Ahluwalia, Daniel Syiem, Shilpi Gupta, and Sanjukta Dutta took center stage, showcasing collections inspired by traditional textiles yet imbued with a modern twist.
Adding star power, Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles, Pabitra Margherita, along with model Sheetal Mallar and actor Poonam Dhillon, graced the runway as showstoppers, making the event even more memorable.
