From Portugal to Pakistan, market-leading knitted fabric manufacturers rely on Monforts MONTEX stenters for accurate and highly automated handling during essential drying after dyeing and other processes.

Leading knitters in Europe and Asia continue to choose Monforts MONTEX stenters for their advanced fabric handling and energy efficiency capabilities. According to Monforts Marketing Manager Nicole Croonenbroek, the MONTEX stenters provide smooth, controlled handling of knitted fabrics, which require more delicate treatment due to their higher elasticity compared to woven materials. These machines offer gentle thermal treatment and the flexibility to accommodate various fabric qualities, while delivering significant energy savings.

ATB – Acabamentos Têxteis de Barcelos

ATB, one of Europe’s largest dyeing and finishing companies, processes 36-40 tons of fabric daily for high-profile clients like Benetton, Inditex, and Mango. Since installing its first Monforts MONTEX stenter in 1990, ATB has continued to expand, now operating five stenter frames with advanced control systems and energy-saving heat recovery units. Their facility also includes two Monforts Dynair relaxation dryers and an EcoApplicator.

In 2024, Etevimol, a knitting operation previously owned by the Mano family, was fully integrated into ATB. With 160 knitting machines and plans for a €5 million investment in new equipment, ATB remains at the forefront of the textile industry in Europe, supported by its extensive fabric library and showroom for customer prototypes.

Interloop’s Expansion in Pakistan

Interloop, a major player in Pakistan’s textile industry, is rapidly expanding with a goal of reaching $700 million in annual sales by 2026. The company’s newest knitwear plant in Faisalabad will produce 50 tons of knitted and dyed fabrics daily, resulting in 45 million garments annually. This 1.25 million-square-foot facility boasts the highest LEED certification for its scale, powered largely by renewable energy and advanced environmental management systems.

Interloop CEO Navid Fazil emphasizes the company’s commitment to sustainability and innovation, citing their use of biomass boilers and a green energy grid as examples of how they are revolutionizing the industry while reducing their environmental impact.
