The Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles, and Textile Technologies (VIATT), scheduled from February 26 to 28, 2025, in Ho Chi Minh City, is poised to celebrate Vietnam’s milestone as it potentially surpasses Bangladesh to become the world’s second-largest garment exporter, after China. This prestigious event will feature a strong lineup of Chinese exhibitors and highlight sustainability across the entire textile value chain.
Key highlights of VIATT 2025:
- Chinese Participation: As part of the China Plus One strategy, Chinese manufacturers are expanding their operations in Vietnam. Leading Chinese suppliers from the textile value chain will exhibit their products and solutions. Companies such as Supertex Int’l Jiangyin Jiaxiang Trading and Tenglong Textile will showcase innovations in apparel fabrics, yarns, and garments. Home textile giants like Shanghai Donglong Hometextile Products and Jiangsu Etex Textile Corp will also be present, alongside many others specializing in technical textiles, nonwovens, and advanced textile machinery.
- Econogy Hub: For the first time, the fair will host the Econogy Hub, a dedicated zone for eco-fabrics suppliers and certification providers, reflecting the fair’s focus on sustainability. It will bring together global certifiers and testers like Cradle to Cradle Innovation Institute, Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), and The Woolmark Company to promote traceable solutions and eco-friendly practices in textiles.
- Technical Textiles and Nonwovens: Jiangsu Yingyang Nonwoven Machinery, CTA Hi-Tech Textiles, and other technical textile suppliers will present innovations in geotextiles, automotive interior materials, and multifunctional fibre-based composites.
The fair is expected to strengthen Vietnam’s position as a leading hub for sustainable textile production and showcase the growing Vietnam-China partnership, with agreements signed in 2024 to foster cooperation in areas like customs recognition and cross-border QR code payments.
VIATT 2025 is organized by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE). It offers an excellent opportunity for buyers and businesses to explore the latest textile technologies, build partnerships, and embrace sustainable practices.
