Flocus to Unveil Regenerative Kapok Innovations at Future Fabrics Expo 2025
London, June 19, 2025 — Flocus, a pioneer in sustainable fibre innovation, is set to showcase the world’s first OEKO-TEX® 100 Class 1 certified kapok fibre at the Future Fabrics Expo, taking place on June 24–25 in London. The company will present its breakthrough developments at Booth S17, offering visitors an immersive experience with next-generation regenerative kapok materials.
Once considered a wild and inconsistent natural resource, kapok is now available in scalable industrial volumes thanks to Flocus’ advanced and ethical processing systems. Naturally lightweight, water-repellent, hypoallergenic, antimicrobial, and a superior insulator, kapok has long been valued for its properties but lacked the infrastructure for commercial-scale use—until now.
Flocus has redefined kapok as a reliable, high-performance ingredient suitable for the fashion, home, and interior industries. Visitors to the expo will get a first-hand look at:
- Clarus – a premium, engineered spinning-grade kapok fibre ideal for high-quality yarns and textiles.
- Fina – a soft, pure stuffing-quality fibre for insulation and fillings.
Flocus will also present a diverse portfolio of yarns, fabrics, and nonwovens, including exclusive blends with other sustainable, high-performance natural fibres. Attendees can explore fillings made from 100% kapok or blends with recycled and plant-based materials, underlining the fibre’s versatility and potential.
In addition to its product innovations, Flocus will spotlight its regenerative kapok farming efforts through its nonprofit arm, KRAF. By planting thousands of kapok trees across Indonesia, KRAF restores local biodiversity, expands future fibre resources, and empowers local communities through sustainable employment and engagement.
With its certified, scalable, and ethical production approach, Flocus invites the global textile community to discover the future of sustainable fibres at the Future Fabrics Expo.
Visit Flocus at Booth S17 on June 24–25 to experience regenerative innovation in action.
