India Garment Fair 2025: Over 360 Exhibitors to Showcase Apparel to Global Buyers from 79 Countries
New Delhi, June 29, 2025 (PTI):
India is once again set to become the global hub for apparel trade with the launch of the India International Garment Fair (IIGF) 2025, to be held from July 1 to 3, 2025, in New Delhi. The event will witness the participation of over 360 Indian apparel exhibitors, showcasing the latest collections and trends to buyers from 79 countries.
This three-day fair, organized by the Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC), is India’s largest trade show dedicated to garments and ready-made clothing. It plays a crucial role in promoting Made-in-India apparel in global markets.
Buyers from Across the Globe
Buyers from key markets like the United Kingdom, Spain, Greece, Italy, France, Germany, and many other countries across Europe, North America, and Asia will attend the event. These buyers represent retail chains, fashion brands, wholesalers, and import houses, all looking for quality apparel from Indian suppliers.
AEPC Chairman Sudhir Sekhri said that the fair would focus on:
- Sustainable manufacturing practices
- Latest design and fashion trends
- Customization for European Union and US markets
“Global brands are now sourcing more from India, especially because of our growing strength in sustainable and ethical manufacturing,” Sekhri added.
Focus on Sustainability
One of the main themes of IIGF 2025 is sustainable fashion. With growing awareness about climate change and ethical manufacturing, many international brands are looking for suppliers that follow eco-friendly production methods.
Indian exporters are increasingly investing in:
- Organic fabrics
- Low water usage processes
- Non-toxic dyes
- Recycling and waste reduction
The fair will showcase these green practices, giving Indian exporters a competitive edge.
Boost in Export Performance
India’s apparel exports are showing positive signs in the current financial year. Between April and May 2025, India exported ready-made garments worth USD 2.88 billion, marking a 12.8% growth compared to the same period last year.
This rise in export earnings reflects the growing demand for Indian garments in global markets, particularly as buyers look for diversified sourcing options beyond traditional giants like China and Bangladesh.
Wide Participation from Indian States
The 2025 garment fair will include participants from 12 Indian states, showcasing the rich variety and capability of India’s garment industry. Key states participating include:
- Uttar Pradesh
- Rajasthan
- Maharashtra
- West Bengal
- Haryana
These states are home to many small and medium-sized garment manufacturers and exporters who produce everything from cotton basics to high-end fashionwear.
