SIPCOT Mini Textile Park: Feasibility report on setting up SIPCOT Mini Textile Park in Pudukottai quarter submitted

The SIPCOT had asked its Project Officer in Pudukottai a many months ago to visit Embal. With the feasibility report submitted, a decision on establishing the Mini Textile Park will be taken at the loftiest position, said the sources.
Embal is positioned on the border of Pudukottai adjoining Sivaganga and Ramanathapuram sections. A request for the establishment of the SIPCOT Mini Textile Park was made by the Embal Development Group in Pudukottai quarter in July to the diligence, Investment Promotion and Commerce Department.
“ Establishment of the Mini Textile Park near Embal will give a big drive to the pastoral frugality as the design will induce employment to pastoral women, ” said P. Perinbanathan, Lead fellow, Embal Development Group.
There were several women from Embal and other places in Pudukottai quarter who are employed at the cloth units in Tiruppur and Coimbatore. The establishment of the Mini Textile Park would give job occasion and ameliorate the livelihood of at least 1,000 pastoral women which in turn would profit the pastoral frugality, Mr. Perinbanathan said.
The design is anticipated to support structure development. It could also serve as a model for pastoral artificial development in Tamil Nadu, said Mr. Perinbanathan.
