Italian cloth ministry suppliers strengthen ties with Colombia at Colombiatex 2026.
Italian cloth ministry at Colombiatex: Multitudinous Italian cloth ministry manufacturers will take part in the forthcoming Colombiatex, the leading trade show for the Colombian cloth force chain, to be held in Medellin from 27 to 29 January 2026. The event formerly again underlines the strong and longstanding relationship between Colombian cloth directors and Italian technology providers.
Although demand from the Colombian cloth sector declined during 2024, the country continues to represent one of the most important South American requests for cloth ministry manufacturers. The rearmost numbers point to a pronounced recovery, with Italian ministry deals in Colombia reaching€ 6 million in the first half of 2025, an increase of 48 compared with the same period the former year.However, Italian exports could approach the record situations achieved in 2022, when deals totalled€ 18 million, If this trend continues.

According to Marco Salvadè, President of ACIMIT, the Colombian cloth and apparel assiduity has shown significant growth in recent times, supported by technological elevation in which Italian ministry has frequently played a commanding part. He notes that for numerous Italian companies, Colombiatex remains a crucial transnational exhibition for buttressing hookups with Colombian cloth manufacturers.
As in former editions, ICE – Italian Trade Agency, in collaboration with ACIMIT, will organise a public Italian Pavilion for Colombiatex 2026, located in the Pabellon Amarillo. Twenty- two Italian companies will parade within the kiosk, covering a broad range of cloth ministry and technology results. In addition, several other ACIMIT member companies will share with individual daises or through original agents, further pressing the strength and breadth of Italian participation at the event.
