Apparel exports reach US $ 17 billion in April-September 2025

In April-September 2025, Indian textile exports saw a decline of -1.85% compared to the previous year, while apparel exports saw a 3.42% increase. Cumulative exports of apparel and textiles from April to September 2025 increased by 0.39% over the same period in 2024, according to an analysis by the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI).

For April-September 2025, textile exports reached US $ 9,972.37 million as compared to US $ 10,160.37 million in April-September 2024 while apparel exports reached US $ 7,763.19 million in April-September 2025 as compared to US $ 7,506.14 million in April-September 2024. Cumulative textile and apparel exports in April-September 2025 reached US $ 17,735.56 million as compared to US $ 17,666.51 million in April-September 2024.

In September 2025, Indian textile exports saw a -10.45% decline in growth compared to the previous year, while apparel exports saw a -10.14% decrease. Cumulative textile and apparel exports in September 2025 decreased by -10.34% compared to September 2024.

Textile exports in September 2025 reached US $ 1,624.06 million from an amount of US $ 1,813.63 million in September 2024, while apparel exports reached US $ 997.54 million in September 2025, compared to US $ 1,110.15 million in September 2024. Cumulative textile and apparel exports reached US $ 2,621.60 million in September 2025 as compared to US $ 2,923.78 million in September 2024.
